SAM HATCHARD
CEO
A highly qualified CEO at CBH, Sam brings 20 years of experience from three leading global companies in the construction materials (quarry, asphalt, concrete), mining, and logistics industries across the UK and Australia.
Setting standards by example, Sam leverages his passion for safety and Zero Harm, operational best practices, customer excellence, and people management to lead CBH teams collaboratively. His leadership consistently delivers proven results and sustained improvements in a target-driven business environment, surpassing business, commercial, and financial goals.

DARREN GREGORY
A highly experienced General Manager with over 22 years of extensive experience, Darren is responsible for overseeing all of CBH’s projects and ensuring full delivery in line with contractual and client agreements.
Darren brings demonstrated and exceptional leadership to our teams, as well as operational expertise in managing complex projects.
His comprehensive background includes managing active Department of Transport and Main Roads quarries, implementing Safety and Health Management Systems (SHMS), and overseeing HR and recruitment for multiple sites.
Darren’s hands-on approach and strategic vision have consistently delivered cost control, project efficiency, and safety excellence. His ability to navigate and manage large-scale operations while maintaining a strong focus on safety and project optimisation has made him an invaluable asset to CBH and our clients.

Over the last two years, we have refreshed our fleet with advanced machinery engineered for longer part life, fewer service intervals, and optimised fuel burn. This investment not only lowers operating costs but also cuts emissions at the source.
Our fleet now runs on real-time tracking systems—such as FleetManager—that capture detailed fuel-use data for every unit. Dashboards and trend analyses spotlight opportunities for savings, translating directly into measurable reductions in greenhouse-gas emissions.
As coal-haulage specialists, Clermont Group deploys custom-designed trucks that carry heavier payloads more efficiently than conventional units. By maximising load capacity while minimising fuel consumption, these vehicles deliver both economic and environmental gains on every run.
